Emma (00:02):
You are listening to a short dialogue in English with Dialogue Frog. I've been shopping lately.

Luke (00:11):
It can be a bad habit.

Emma (00:14):
Yeah. Well, I don't shop that often, actually. I'm not, not a chronic shopper like some people.

Luke (00:20):
You say that with a certain gleam in your eye.

Emma (00:22):
Mm-hmm.

Luke (00:22):
As you look towards me.

Emma (00:23):
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Don't click that add to cart button every time you see a website, just sometimes.

Luke (00:32):
Hey, sometimes it says add to bag. So, I'm, I'm fine as long as it doesn't say add to cart.

Emma (00:39):
Oh, okay. There's a line there.

Luke (00:41):
It's true.

Emma (00:43):
But I was shopping for shoes and I don't really like shopping for shoes on the internet.

Luke (00:48):
Hard to gauge, like what it'll feel like on your foot.

Emma (00:51):
Yeah, 'cause like shoes more so than any other kind of clothes. Like it needs to fit in a certain way and sizes across all companies isn't necessarily the same.

Luke (01:03):
Yeah.

Emma (01:04):
Or sometimes the quality of the shoe looks really, really good online and then it comes and it's like falling apart.

Luke (01:12):
Yeah.

Emma (01:14):
And so then you've just wasted your money because the shoe isn't even holding up. It's sad.

Luke (01:20):
Yeah. Well, most companies seem to do pretty good returns anymore, so.

Emma (01:24):
That's true. But I still, I prefer to go to the shoe store myself, even though the selection is smaller, especially right now, but I still prefer to go to the local shoe stores.

Luke (01:35):
Mm-hmm.

Emma (01:36):
And then you can try it on and know if it fits or not,

Luke (01:40):
That's putting your best foot forward.

Emma (01:42):
It is. It really is. This has been a short English dialogue with Dialogue Frog. For transcripts and vocabulary lists, please visit our website dialoguefrog.com.
