Emma (00:02):
You are listening to English dialogs with Dialogue Frog. So, you mentioned earlier, uh, that you started a side hustle. A small business on the side.

Luke (00:15):
It's true. It's like those vintage motorcycles you see and they have the little sidecar.

Emma (00:20):
It's a sidecar business.

Luke (00:22):
It's true.

Emma (00:22):
But you're not selling side cars?

Luke (00:24):
No.

Emma (00:24):
No. But that's really exciting. Congratulations!

Luke (00:28):
Mm hm. Thanks.

Emma (00:29):
So are you, are you gonna have a physical space?

Luke (00:33):
I am. Yep.

Emma (00:35):
Oh, wow. So, how- do you already have one?

Luke (00:38):
Yep.

Emma (00:39):
Oh, that's cool. That's cool. How, how did you find your space?

Luke (00:46):
Well, I went onto the web and I just perused the local listings and uh, I found one. And then I contacted the realtor.

Emma (01:02):
A realtor. That's the person who is renting the property. Do they own it? Or they're just like in the middle?

Luke (01:12):
I think in this case they're in the middle.

Emma (01:13):
Okay. Somebody else owns the building, but you're working with the realtor who's renting the building on the owner's behalf.

Luke (01:23):
Mm hm.

Emma (01:23):
Okay.

Luke (01:26):
Is a behalf kind of like a motorcycle sidecar?

Emma (01:29):
No.

Luke (01:31):
Oh.

Emma (01:31):
No.

Luke (01:32):
Okay.

Emma (01:32):
That's still different.

Luke (01:35):
Never hear about wasp halves.

Emma (01:39):
That's 'cause nobody likes wasps.

Luke (01:41):
That makes sense.

Emma (01:42):
But anyway, we were talking about- you got an, an office space, right?

Luke (01:46):
Yeah.

Emma (01:46):
That's cool. That feels so legitimate for business, when you have that physical space.

Luke (01:53):
It does. It feels legit.

Emma (01:54):
That's so exciting. So you worked with the realtor. You must've signed a lease agreement, right?

Luke (02:04):
I did.

Emma (02:04):
Wow. So what, what was that like?

Luke (02:07):
Um, the same as any other document, I suppose.

Emma (02:13):
Yeah. So the lease is that document, that outlines, um, your agreement to rent the property. So, how much money you'll pay each month.

Luke (02:21):
Mm hm.

Emma (02:21):
What you are responsible for as the tenant and what they're responsible for as the landlord.

Luke (02:30):
Mm hm.

Emma (02:30):
Yeah. That's a very important document.

Luke (02:34):
Yeah.

Emma (02:34):
Hm. Well, good luck with that. That's exciting.

Luke (02:40):
Thanks.

Emma (02:40):
You have to show it to me sometime.

Luke (02:42):
I will.

Emma (02:42):
All right. I look forward to seeing it. Well, thanks again for listening to us this week. Join us again next week for more English dialogs with Dialogue Frog.
