34. How are you?-English Conversation Dialogue
Listen to an English conversation dialogue between Emma and Luke. This time, Emma and Luke haven’t talked in a while, so they talk about how they are doing. How do you continue a conversation after asking ‘how are you?’ This episode is one example of how a conversation continues after greeting. It also is good listening practice on how to talk about routines in English.

Welcome to a short English conversation dialogue with Dialogue Frog. Hey, Luke, haven't talked to you lately. How are things going?
Oh, it's, it's going.
It's going? How are you doing today?
I'm doing pretty well. How are you, Emma?
I'm doing al- I'm kind of tired.
Yeah. It's late afternoon. It's around, what? Four o'clock? 4:30 I guess.
So normally by now my energy is low-
-and I just want to take a nap.
Mm hm. It's the, like where you've had lunch already and it's been a while since you had lunch, but you haven't eaten dinner yet, so you're just trying to like, between meals kind of energy crash?
Yep, that's exactly what it is. Mainly though, I eat dinner pretty early.
I do eat dinner around like five o'clock, 5:30.
So maybe that's it. Maybe it's more of a pre-dinner crash than a post-lunch crash.
Right. That makes sense. What about the- do you drink coffee at all to kind of sus-sustain your energy?
For some reason, yes, I when I drink coffee in the morning, it it does give me a boost, an energy boost. But if I drink coffee in the afternoon, it kind of just makes me tired.
Maybe you have like a coffee threshold and so it's just happens to be the afternoon coffee that pushes you past the threshold of caffeine.
That's probably it. That's probably exactly it. All right. Well, this has been another English conversation dialogue with Dialogue Frog.
How are things going?
How are you doing today?
I just want to...
take a nap
It's like where you've...
it's been a while since
So maybe that's it.

For some reason...

That's probably it.
