Luke: You are listening to Dialogue Frog’s short and sometimes silly conversations for listening, imitation and shadowing practice. My name is Luke and we are here today with Emma discussing the start of summer.

Emma: Do you know what time it is?

Luke: Adventure Time?

Emma: Uh, no, it’s summertime.

Luke: Oh, summertime.

Emma: Yeah.

Luke: Which is, I mean that’s possibly even better.

Emma: That’s right.

Luke: What’s your favorite thing about the summer?

Emma: You know, its kind of strange but I like the sound of the air conditioner.

Luke: Yeah, and the feel of it too.

Emma: And the feel of the air conditioner.

Luke: It, it gets kind of hot without it.

Emma:  Yeah. But I like going outside when its 100 degrees and then you come inside and you can feel the air conditioner.

Luke: It is very refreshing.

Emma: Although its not supposed to be good for your body when you do that. When you go from extreme temperatures; extreme hot to extreme cold.

Luke: I can see that, yeah. It does it does feel good though.

Emma: It does.

Luke: Whenever I think of summer, I think of the, the little freeze pops that you put in the freezer.

Emma: Oh, the the juice. Its like the fruit flavored juice pops.

Luke: Yep.

Emma: The frozen ones.

Luke: Yep. And you have like, grape and orange and lemon and whatever the green flavor is supposed to be.

Emma: No one knows what that green flavor is. Apple?

Luke: I think, I think, I think so?

Emma: Green flavor?

Luke: Green flavor. That’s what green that’s what green tastes like.

Emma: The taste of green.

Luke: Yep.

Emma: Also, going into town and getting ice cream from the ice cream place.

Luke: Yes. Yep.

Emma: Yep. That is definitely the taste of summer.

Luke: Oh yeah. What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

Emma: I kind of like vanilla. Sometimes I’ll be in a chocolate mood, but I’m really a vanilla person.

Luke: Yep. Classic.

Emma: Classic. How ‘bout you?

Luke. I I I like chocolate.

Emma: Chocolate is good.

Luke: Although, the the Neapolitan too where you just like you can’t make up your mind so sometimes you want the vanilla, sometimes you want chocolate and then the strawberry.

Emma: I don’t like strawberry ice cream. It tastes too fake.

Luke: I see.

Emma: Its like how we had the green flavor. Strawberry-

Luke: Right.

Emma: -ice cream to me is like a pink flavor.

Luke: I see. I see. Yeah.

Emma: I do like it though when you can have the strawberry-er, sorry, the vanilla and the chocolate together-

Luke: Yeah.

Emma: -on one ice cream cone.

Luke: Oh yeah.

Emma: That is perfection.

Luke: Yep. For sure. Alright, well, I think that about wraps it up for today’s episode. So uh, for transcripts and vocabulary lists, please go to our website at www.dialoguefrog.com. Thanks so much and we’ll see you next time. I’m Luke signing out.
